The iPhone 8, the iPhone 8 Plus and the upcoming iPhone X (pronounced “10”) are the first smartphones from Apple to offer native wireless charging inside their hardware. Many think that this could be a turning point for this more convenient way to charge your phone. But which wireless charger for iPhone should you get?
A number of devices support the Qi technology standard that’s used by the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. While Apple has not yet launched its own branded wireless charging pad, it has worked with two companies in developing new products designed to work with the new iPhones. It will also release its own charger, the large AirPower mat, sometime in 2018. In the meantime, we’ve got a list of the of the best wireless chargers available right now.
Belkin Boost Up Wireless Charging Pad
This wireless charger for the iPhone 8 and X is one of the two that Apple is selling for those phones on its store site. The Belkin pad is designed to send up to 7.5W. It has an LED indicator to let you know that your iPhone is charging up while on the pad. The pad can even charge your phone through a case that’s 3mm or thinner. This wireless charger, built by accessory company Spigen, is compatible with the iPhone 8 and X, along with many Android phones. It doesn’t support fast charging (up to 9V) for the iPhone, but if you use a Spigen case on your iPhone, you will be happy to know that some of them will work with the pad.
