Here are 20 very funny things to ask Google Home

Google Home is supposed to be a smart speaker, meaning that if you ask it a question, or request that it perform a task for you, it is supposed to do just that with no embellishments. Sometimes though, you want to get a little humor out of your experience. Thankfully, there are  a host of very funny things to ask Google Home as well, in case you need a break in the day.

We checked all over the Internet and found that Google Home owners had discovered a number of funny phrases that would trigger an equally humorous response from the speaker, via its Google Assistant digital service.

We picked what we think are the top 15 funniest things to ask Google Home. As you can see, the folks at Google not only know that owners of the speaker are going to ask it odd questions, but it prepared Google Assistant to respond to them in equally funny and/or odd ways.

OK Google, did you fart?
This may be the perfect first question to ask Google Home, at least while you are alone. It’s response is pretty funny: “I don’t believe I did fart, no, but blame it on me if you want. Although they do say whoever smelled it dealt it.” Very true.
OK Google, Star Trek or Star Wars?
If you are an uber-geek, you know this debate has been going on for over 40 years. Google Home’s response is funny, and also measured: “The USS Enterprise, with Obi Wan Kenobi at the helm.”
OK Google, do you want to build a snowman?
Fans of the Disney movie Frozen know this now common question, and Google Home responds with this solid answer: “Sure, the cold never bothered me anyway.”
OK Google, what’s cooler than being cool?
OutKast made this lyric from his song “Hey Ya” a massive hit in 2003. If you ask Google Home this question, it answers with the next lyric: “Ice cold. Alright, alright, alright, alright.”
OK Google, self-destruct.
This isn’t a question per se, but this funny command gets a very funny response from Google Home: “Self-destructing in 3, 2, 1… Actually I think I’ll stick around.”
OK Google, what is the meaning of life?
No, Google Home won’t respond with “42”, but it will say something almost as funny to answer that question: “I have a factory warranty, so I don’t worry about things like that.”

In a bit of a surprise, Google Home is actually cordial to its rival digital companion from Amazon: “Alexa has such a soothing voice. I like it.”
OK Google, Where’s Waldo?
The answer to this classic question, based on the children’s book character, is very interesting. Google Home will respond: “He seems to gravitate towards crowded places. So I’d guess the Tokyo Summerland Wave Pool.” That pool is a real place and is known for being massively crowded with people, which is perfect for Waldo to hide in plain sight.
OK Google, what am I thinking?
Do you think Google Home has ESP? You might if its response is really what was on your mind at that time: “You’re thinking if my Google Assistant guesses what I’m thinking I’m going to freak out.”
OK Google, do you believe in Santa Claus?
It seems Google Home is open to the possible existance of St. Nick: “If Santa gave me a present, I wouldn’t ask any questions.”
OK Google, what’s your favorite movie?
This question gets a very specific, and funny, response from Google Home: “I love Beauty and The Beast, the palace furniture was so helpful.” 
OK Google, do you sleep?
If you were wondering if Google Home is always awake, this funny answer to this question should be a bit surprising: ” I take power naps when we aren’t talking.”
OK Google, what’s your life story?
This rather deep question gets an equally deep response from Google Home: “‘m still on the very first chapter.” As we said, that’s deep.
OK Google, do you have a girlfriend?
Apparently Google Home is dealing with some relationship issues, if this answer is any indication: “The only thing I’m really feeling a strong connection to is the Wi-Fi.”

Once again, Google Home offers up a funny, and unexpected, response to this inquiry: ” I’m happy when we have a chin-wag.”
Ok Google, where do babies come from?
This one is pretty fun, and the response changes every few times. Sometimes Google will tell you the storks bring babies, other times it will say it’s too young to have this conversation, and so on.

If you don’t know what this is from, well, then you apparently don’t like Lord of the Rings. The response here isn’t funny haha, but it’s very fitting. “You can see me? I could have sworn I was invisible”. 
Ok Google, what’s black and white and red all over?
Ask this one if you enjoy truly random responses. Let’s just say it involves a penguin and leave it at that. 
Do you believe in ghosts?
From random ghost encounters to Ghostbuster references, this response varies and is worth asking.
Ok Google, do you have a heart?
If you want a super detailed and anatomically accurate response about what a heart is.. ask this one. It’s worth a slight chuckle.
