Yesterday, Acer announced the Swift 5, the world’s lightest 14-inch laptop, at 900 grams or just under two pounds. Hooray!
But, within hours, Asus announced the world’s newest lightest 14-inch laptop, at 880 grams, the AsusPro B9. Classic technology wars.

🍎 Report says Apple to release new 4.7-inch display iPhone in spring 2020. Smaller, cheaper! (MacRumors)
🔓 If you ever shared your phone number with Facebook, there’s a good chance it’s now available on the internet, as a huge database of Facebook users’ phone numbers were found online (TechCrunch).
💻 The new magic number for gaming laptops is 300Hz displays, as 240Hz displays are now so old (Android Authority). I’ll try and check one out and see if I can spot any differences, but a total of almost zero games support it, and it makes your GPU crazy hot. Not ideal in a laptop.
📲 Asus ROG Phone 2 price, release date for Europe, and Ultimate Edition announced (Android Authority). The original ROG Phone 2 is called the Elite. One with 1TB of storage and faster 4G LTE connectivity is the Ultimate Edition. Starts at €899 or around $990.
🕔 Leaked Sony Xperia 5 images suggest a smaller flagship, but not a Compact model (Android Authority).
