Sometimes printing just can’t wait. Whether you are busy working on your next presentation or getting ready to turn in a college paper, mobile printing is a commodity that will surely improve your productivity. And the best part is you can use it at home, too!
Looking for a good portable printer? We have created a list with our very favorite ones. All of these printers can be operated with a battery and taken on-the-go, so you will no longer be worrying about the dog eating your homework. Shall we get started?
HP Officejet 150
This unit is a bit pricey at $334, but it is as full-featured as they get. In fact, it can compete with very good office printers. The HP Officejet 150 is a printer, copier and scanner.
It has the ability to print 22 ppm (pages per minute) in black and white, while going with color will slow you down to 18 ppm. Aside from using a hard-wired connection, it is possible to connect to the printer wirelessly, via Bluetooth. And its battery is said to last for about 500 prints on a single charge.
I like this one mostly for its size, but it is truly a mobile warrior, weighing in at 2.6 pounds. It is also a copier, scanner and printer, all in one.
The Primera Trio prints at a 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution, which quite impressive for a little machine. The only downside is that the battery is sold separately. And that could be a nuisance considering this is a $299.95 printer.
Canon PIXMA iP110
You can’t talk about printers without mentioning Canon, and they do offer a great option for those looking to get a portable printer. This device features a maximum color dpi of 9600 x 2400. That is some intense crispness! And of course, it also supports wireless printing.
It may seem affordable, as it starts at $169.95, but adding the battery and ink will bring the price up to $297.92. Totally worth it for the mobile professional, though.
Epson WorkForce WF-100
As its name entails, this printer is for the professionals out there. It is meant for work and can handle all your business needs.
This unit weighs 3.5 pounds. It does feature wireless printing and can be charged through the AC adapter or USB. And the cherry on top is its price. Now we are getting more reasonable, as this printer costs $190.55.
The Polaroid ZIP is for those who don’t care about printing actual documents. You may just want to be able to print your photos on-the-go. Polaroid is very well-known for its instant print cameras, but those outdated shooters are dying off. The digital area is upon us and with the Polaroid ZIP they have found a way to bring the convenience of instant photography to modern smartphones.
This little printer connects to your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth or NFC. It works with ZINK paper, which means there is no need to be replacing ink… ever. And its 500 mAh battery can take care of 25 prints on a single charge.
Pretty neat, right? It’s also not a bad gadget for $113.98.
